SUBSCRIPTIONS IN WOOCOMMERCE
Subscriptions in WooCommerce: renewals, payment retries and a customer panel.
Recurring sales is more than a “subscribe” button. You have to handle renewals, declined cards, pausing, plan changes and cancellation. I set up WooCommerce subscriptions to fit what you sell, and I check whether your payment gateway allows recurring charges.
I build this to order, around your rules. Describe your project and I will reply with questions and a preliminary quote, usually within one business day.

WHEN IT HELPS
Recurring sales has its pitfalls
Typical problems when subscriptions are handled by hand or half-heartedly.
Manual renewals
Every month someone creates orders and reminds customers to pay, instead of one automatic cycle.
Declined cards
An expired card ends the subscription, even though the customer wanted to continue.
No self-service
Customers cannot pause, change their plan or update their payment themselves, so they write to you.
The gateway does not support cycles
Not every payment provider allows recurring charges, and this only comes out after the store is built.
What store subscriptions cover
The scope depends on what you sell and on the payment provider's capabilities. I start by checking its documentation.
- 01
Plans and cycles
Delivery or billing rhythm, trial period, sign-up fee and different plans for the same products.
- 02
Automatic renewals
A renewal order created on schedule and paid with the saved payment method.
- 03
Payment retries
Further attempts at set intervals, messages to the customer and rules for when the subscription ends.
- 04
Pause, plan change, cancellation
The customer manages the subscription in their panel, under the rules you set.
- 05
Recurring deliveries
Subsequent shipments and next delivery dates visible to the customer and to you.
- 06
Reports
Active subscriptions, churn and expected revenue in a clear summary.
CHECK THE CYCLE
A subscription cycle with a declined card
See a subscription through the eyes of the customer and the store: the choice, payments, renewal, shipping and the customer panel.
The demo requires JavaScript.
Sample store and data. Automatic charges require a payment provider that supports them.
This is just an example. I will build it around your case.
You do not need a specification. A few sentences about what should work is enough.
What the rollout looks like
- 01
Subscription rules
We write down the plans, rhythm, trial periods, rules for pausing and cancelling, and what happens after a failed payment.
- 02
Payment gateway and plugins
I check whether your provider supports recurring payments, and assess whether a ready-made subscription plugin is enough or add-ons are needed.
- 03
Build and tests
I build subscriptions on a copy of the store and test the whole cycle: renewal, declined card, pause and cancellation.
- 04
Launch and observation
We start selling, and over the first cycles I watch the renewals and adjust the rules based on real payments.
