MIGRATION FROM SHOPIFY
Migration from Shopify to WooCommerce: products, customers and URLs under your control.
Your Shopify store works, but you want your own installation, your own data and the freedom to add features? I move products, collections, customers and order history to WooCommerce, together with a 301 redirect map. First on a copy, and I recreate the features of Shopify apps with plugins or code.
I build this to order, around your rules. Describe your project and I will reply with questions and a preliminary quote, usually within one business day.

WHEN IT HELPS
When Shopify stops being enough
Typical reasons for changing platform.
The number of apps keeps growing
Every feature is yet another app, and the set is hard to fit to your process.
You want your data and code
Your own installation gives full access to the database, files and store logic.
You need custom logic
Specific pricing, configurators and integrations are easier in your own code.
You fear losing your URLs
Shopify addresses follow a fixed pattern, so well-planned 301 redirects protect the old links.
What a migration from Shopify covers
The scope depends on the data Shopify exposes in your account: through CSV export and the API. I start by checking what can be fetched.
- 01
Products, variants, metafields
Products with variants and options, plus extra fields (metafields) as custom fields in WooCommerce.
- 02
Collections and images
Collections as categories and product images, with their order and descriptions.
- 03
Customers and orders
Customer accounts and order history as archive orders.
- 04
301 redirects
Addresses in the /products/, /collections/ and /pages/ layout lead to the new addresses in WooCommerce.
- 05
Features from apps
I recreate the features that Shopify apps provided with plugins or custom code.
- 06
Pages and blog
Information pages and blog posts together with their images.
SEE FOR YOURSELF
The migration process and redirect map
Run the simulation and see the map of old addresses and the things to check by hand.
The demo requires JavaScript.
The numbers, addresses and notes are fictional or illustrative. This is a simulation of how it works, with no connection to any store. I set the exact address rules after analysing your store.
This is just an example. I will build it around your case.
You do not need a specification. A few sentences about what should work is enough.
What the rollout looks like
- 01
Checking the data and apps
I check what can be exported and list the features the installed apps provide today.
- 02
A copy of the store in WooCommerce
I build the new store in a separate environment, move the data as a trial and recreate the features you need.
- 03
Redirects and SEO check
I prepare 301 redirects from Shopify patterns to the new addresses and check them automatically.
- 04
Switch and observation
We agree the switch window, the domain change and syncing the last orders, then I watch Search Console.
